Coach Connolly Becomes an Engineer!!!

Congratulations to our very own Tara Connolly on becoming the Assistant Coach for the Women's Division 1 team at Rensselear (RPI) in Tory, NY. The Engineers play in the highly competitive ECAC against formidable opponents including, Harvard, Clarkson & Quinnipiac.

For the past three season Tara has been an assistant at Wesleyan College where she was responsible for practice plans and managed the forward lines, power play units and goaltending. Tara was also an intern goaltending coach for the USA Hockey U15 and U18 National Camp in July of 2015 and 2016.

Engineers first-year coach said "We could not be more excited to welcome Tara to the RPI women's hockey family. She is a tireless recruiter, great teacher and even better person. Her ability to forge lasting relationships with student-athletes and help them develop to their full potential, on and off the ice, will be an asset to our program and we are excited to see the lasting impact she makes."

Tara has been with Pro Crease Goaltending since 2014 working with a variety of skill levels and age groups. "We are extremely excited to see Tara move on to the Division 1 ranks." said PCG's Jared Waimon. "We will miss her excellent coaching work during the season but look forward to having her back each summer for camp, especially our newly formed Women's Camp!

Tara's move to D1 adds to PCG's staff who coach at the D1 level including Matt Michno (Brown University), Ross MacKinnon (UConn) and Jared Waimon (Quinnipiac).
